Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed term contract to support the Global Express division during a critical change period, based at our Melbourne Airport site.

The remit of this role is to provide professional, timely guidance and support to management and employees on all HR activities, this will include workforce planning, change management, training and development, on-boarding, performance management and employee counselling in line with Company policies and procedures.

This is a great role for someone with prior experience in a high-volume role who is looking to increase their skillset and get exposure to a multitude of industries within our diverse portfolio of business. You will have a track record of generalist experience and can demonstrate a strong knowledge of ER/IR. You will be confident and assertive and able to communicate and coach effectively to all areas of the business, peer through to GM level.

As the HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day coaching and advice to management on workforce matters, including performance management and employment conditions, disciplinary matters, and termination processes.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and manage grievances in accordance with the relevant Company Policies & Standards, including the development of corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, with guidance from the Senior Manager – Human Resources.
  • Provide HR advice to assist in the effective management of workers compensation claims, RTW plans, and other fitness for duty issues.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Oversee successful on-boarding of new and promoted employees as required.
